4. Attending majors
4.1. Suitable to:
Linguistics, Philology.
4.2. Close to:
Comparative-Contrast Linguistics, Sino-Nom, journalism, Editing and publishing, Vietnamese Studies, Eastern Studies.
5. Objectives
To educate learners to become master of linguistics with firm and intensive knowledge and skills, who are able to anticipate and implement fundamental and practical reforms effectively and totally at current high schools; to be able to participate in teaching linguistics at colleges and universities, researching at institutes, research centers of the field and at the same time continuing their studying at doctoral level.
6. Output Standard
6.1. Knowledge:
- Master knowledge of philosophy, literature, education, research methodology, and knowledge of linguistics, which works as the foundation for studying and implementing teaching and researching activities on Vietnamese Language.
- Have intensive, modern knowledge of theoretical applied linguistics, linguistics and culture, Vietnamese language studies in order to create new knowledge and continue at doctoral level.
- Have knowledge of research methodology suitable to linguistics in order to carry out research projects independently.
- Have critical thinking
- Have general knowledge of law, management and protection of Vietnamese literary environment
- Apply into practice of teaching Vietnamese in school effectively and creatively, meet the requirement of fundamental and practical reforms.
- Know how to organize activities in blended learning: integrating knowledge in the subject as well as knowledge of other fields such as linguistics and literature, linguistics and cultures.
- Have ability to flexibly adapt to the change in training curriculum; have skills of presentation, discussion, communication online and/or by text.
- Develop self-studying skills; independent working skills, team work skills in cooperation, bilateral research projects; have ability to continue studying at doctoral level of suitable or close majors.
B1 certificate (level 3/6) under 6-level Vietnam CEFR or equivalent (Appendix II, Circular 15, 15 May 2014 of the Ministry of Education and Training)
6.4. Autonomous Ability and Responsibility:
- Propose valuable ideas and conclusions of complex issues in practical teaching and researching literature theory.
- Have ability of leading on professional tasks and duties.
- Have ability of self-orientation, developing personal capacity, adapting to highly competitive working environment.
