- Objectives:
To educate experts of linguistics and literature teaching methodology in research-based approach. After graduation, learners can work as experts in education; have critical thinking; have intensive knowledge of the fields in order to develop new knowledge and continue studying at higher level; have general knowledge of literature, linguistics, education, psychology related to the major.
- Output Standards:
- Knowledge:
- Master knowledge of majors related to linguistics and literature teaching methodology such as literature, linguistics, education, psychology.
- Master and apply the system of scientific knowledge of the major into researching and teaching activities.
- Have intensive knowledge of literature teaching methodology in renovating direction: learner’s competence-based approach.
- Have intensive knowledge of curriculum development and testing, assessment learning quality of students in teaching philology.
- Skills:
- Build up and develop basic research skills
- Develop skills of detecting and solving problem related to practical and theoretical aspects.
- Develop skills of applying knowledge and skills in teaching activities and assessing activities of teaching philology at high schools.
- Develop cooperative skills in researching theory and applying into teaching activities.
- Develop self-studying and self-developing skills.
- Autonomous Ability and Responsibility:
- Understand of autonomy and responsibility in learning and professional activities.
- Have ability of independent research, self-detecting and solving problem, withdrawing rules and principles in the process of researching and implementing application in the practice of teaching philology.
- Actively research and propose solutions with firm background of scientific and practical evidence.
- Be active and determined in planning and implementing research and developing activities.
- Have ability of leading and directing professional activities related to major.
- Be ready to take responsibility of research results, proposals and scientific products as well as professional conclusions.
- Requirement of foreign language:
B1 certificate (level 3/6) under 6 level Vietnam CEFR or equivalent (Appendix II, Circular 15, 15.May.2014 of the Ministry of Education and Training)
