On September 24, 2019, Pro. Tu Tay Bang - Rector leaded the delegation of Hoa Kieu University (China), visited and worked at Hanoi University of Education 2. Welcoming the delegation, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Gia The - Chairman of the University Council; Teachers in the Party Committee; Administrators; Board of Directors of Faculty of Foreign Languages; Head of Science & Technology Department; Head of Finance and Administration Department; lecturers of Kunming School of Arts are teaching at Hanoi Pedagogical University 2.
Opening the meeting, Assoc. Pro. Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of the Hoa Kieu University to visit and work . This is an important milestone opening a new chapter in training cooperation between the two universities, contributing to improving the quality of Chinese language training at Hanoi Pedagogical University 2. At the meeting , Dr. Bui Kien Cuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector introduced the development history, mission, tasks of the University in the current period.
Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Tu Tay Bang - Rector of Hoa Kieu University, said that all members of the delegation were deeply impressed by the rapid development of Vietnam and the warm welcome from Hanoi Pedagogical University 2. Professor affirmed that the training cooperation between the two universities stems from the Vietnam-China friendship and similarities, hoping that in the future, the two universities will continue to cooperate for mutual development, not only in terms of language training.
Following the meeting, Mr. Ta Vy - Head of Project Management - Chinese Training College of Chinese Studies introduced the Chinese government's "Silk Road" Scholarship which consists of a university system, master’s degree and doctor’s degree; Scholarship recipients will be exempt from tuition, insurance, accommodation and living support during their study.
Also at the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on training cooperation.
The Hoa Kieu University was founded in 1960, in Fujian province, China. In 2003, the university was recognized as "Outstanding" by the Ministry of Education in the First Assessment of University Teaching Performance. In 2017, Hoa Kieu University was selected by the Chinese Government to build world-class universities and world-class disciplines.
